Essay Topics on Religion
Essay Topics on ReligionOne of the most powerful elements in a persuasive essay is the ability to present ideas with balance, demonstrating clarity and relevance, using a variety of persuasive essay topics on religion. Religion, especially the fundamentalist side of it, has been used as a wedge issue by certain political factions for centuries. It has an inherent attraction to many people who are concerned about whether other peoples' religious beliefs are true or not.Attractive however are the various ways in which there are questions to be answered, questions that can never be fully answered in any way, shape or form, despite the best attempts of those who have written about the subject. Some people have done a great deal of research into the subject, while others use popular arguments to support their position. But, at least they have tried to write from a neutral position, and that's where you will find the first two kinds of essay topics on religion: argumentative and non-argume ntative.Argumentative essays are usually by individuals who have a strong religious belief, who want to present their viewpoint. In an argumentative essay you will find yourself confronted with many different viewpoints, some quite opposed to your own. Although it is not wise to give away your entire position in your argumentative essay, you can keep many points out of the debate, which is possible with your non-argumentative essay topic. You must also make sure you answer the issues in the essay from a neutral point of view, without either justifying or condemning your point of view.Arguments sometimes come at you too fast, and you must be able to respond to them quickly without being patronizing, so this method does not always work well for you. It is your job as the writer, to make your point clearly and concisely, in an essay that can be easily understood. Another important thing to remember is that you should only ever use arguments if you are completely convinced that the argu ment is correct.Non-argumentative essays are the next type of essay topics on religion, since they present arguments from the perspective of an impartial and well-informed person. It's important to bear in mind that the beliefs you represent are not necessarily orthodox, but they are very common, and have a strong following, but they do not have absolute truth. Your topic on this topic will have been carefully prepared to avoid any controversy, but you will still address the facts and debate the validity of your views. Of course, you will need to think of a way to wrap it up in a sentence or two, because you'll be facing strong arguments from opposing sides, and there is no way you will be able to justify or contradict all of them in a single paragraph. As you can see, there are three basic kinds of essay topics on religion: argumentative, non-argumentative and neutral. If you choose to write a persuasive essay, your task is to present ideas in such a way that readers are drawn to yo ur message. Your essay can include an anti-religious argumentation and will leave some readers confused, but others will be convinced, and there will be some that will think you are completely right.Persuade people, not people convince you. Remember that your goal is to convince, not to persuade. Make sure you provide the reader with a clear-cut idea of what you're trying to do, and avoid anything that sounds like a rhetorical question.

Ban Increasing Independence With Limits - 1648 Words
Allow Increasing Independence with Limits Much research shows that adolescents do best when parents set reasonable, age-appropriate rules and expectations, and follow through with reasonable consequences for breaking rules (Simpson, 2001). Clearly stated rules and predictable consequences for breaking rules are especially important in the area of risky behavior. To the extent that it has been tested among AI youth the principle still applies. For example, Lonczak et al. (2007) found that more limit setting predicted less substance use among 13-19 year old AI / Alaskan Native youth. AI adolescents who use alcohol also report fewer parental sanctions against alcohol use than AI youth who are non-users (Oetting et al., 1988; Swim, Beauvaid, Walker, Silk-Walker, 2011). This is perhaps especially true during early adolescence (Swim et al.), a time period when initiation of alcohol use poses special risks for long-term use and dependence (Henry et al., 2011). In Mmari et al.ââ¬â¢s (2010) qualitative study, tribal members identified lack of appropriate parental discipline as one of the most important family risk factors for youth delinquency and violence. These and other authors point out that AI parents in recent generations have not had good role models for parental discipline due to the long-term impact of children having been taken from families and raised in boarding schools. In its existence, the club has always worked at maintaining a community based culture by supporting the local schools and kindergartens as well as businesses and this has been a pivot towards its growth (Genesis Fitness Club 2011). A knowledge management system is defined as the way in which a company collects its data, organizes it before distributing it to the reliable parties. The idea behind a successful knowledge management system is the assumption that each employee, member or a customer from a company should have easy and ready access to the operation details as well as the possible solutions to the problems that may arise (Newman Conrad 1999). For example a customer should know who to contact when a certain problem arises or when he or she is in need of certain services. There exists four types of knowledge management systems which are classified according to their characteristics and they are: fragmented, content based, process based and finally the capability based system. Nowadays, companies prefer an integrated knowledge management system due to the advantage that it provides timely solutions for all sorts of problem either emergency or day to day problems (Uriarte 2008). The Genesis Fitness Club uses the content based knowledge management system whereby, any relevant information that a customer, employee or member may require is easily accessed through the int ernet in their websites. With the General Fitness Club having many subsidiaries across every state in Australia, they have developed a website whereby one can easily access the information of any of the General Fitness Clubs around or near him or her. These websites are equipped with any information the customer may require from the attendance charges, membership fees to the different packages offered by the clubs. The use of the website for information management also serve as an advantage since the company expenses due to the reduced number of p ersonnel required as well as expenses required for stationeries and this in return gives the company a chance to provide the services at more friendly rates compared to other competitors in the industry (Donnellan Bruss 2004). SWOT Analysis The SWOT analysis usually provides us with an opportunity in understanding the strongholds of a company, the promising opportunities where the company might increase their investments to gain more revenue. It also show how the company needs to mitigate the effects of the threat from competitors as well work on the weaknesses and change them to strongholds for the club to prosper. Strengths The company works through a results orientated approach by attracting and maintaining customers, this has been done by sometimes offering a 10 day free membership offers: this ensures that the clubs remain operating since revenues are guaranteed from the members who have shown continued loyalty to the club (General Fitness Club Prahran 2011). Genesis Fitness C lub are also armed with a detailed nutrition program where they provide the best eating guidelines for their members to ensure that with a correct meal and the exercises, clients achieve their objectives within the shortest time possible. They have well trained staffs: The General fitness Stores have staffs that are professionally trained and have a true passion of training the kids, business as well as kidsââ¬â¢ needs for their members. By providing all the trained professionals, Green Fitness Centres have proved that they can go way well above in order to ensure their clients are well satisfied (Australian Sports Club 2008). With the company offering its services through the internet, the companyââ¬â¢s online presence gives its members and new customers access to the services they are offering, how much they are charging, the schedules and also the fitness progress. Thus, one does not have to walk to the club centres or make calls since information is easily accessible thro ugh the internet (General Fitness Club 2011).Advertising We will write a custom assessment sample on The Genesis Fitness Club specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More The atmosphere in the General fitness Centres provides fun for all family members since our facilities are best suited for any age bracket irrespective of how fit or how old they are. And finally, the Companies clear vision of providing an honest and professional services superior to other fitness clubs is a clear indication that the company main goal is satisfying the customers to the fullest (McMahon 2011). Weakness There are usually high costs which are associated with customized and personalized services as well as the capital required to purchase the modern equipments and thus the high fees may be a hindrance towards providing our services to those who cannot afford. There is also the inability by Group Fitness Centres to work on high volume businesses since personal a ttention is required and investing time on a particular client reduces the time that could be available to serve more people. There are also costs involved in attracting large corporate clients such as employees of a certain company. Such venture would require investing heavily in promotion services. Opportunities Benefits Issues Continued participation with the increasing market growth In the last few years, there has been increased interest by people in joining fitness clubs. The increased appreciation is an opportunity since it will lead to an increased market share resulting in increased revenues. Internet possibilities With the club websites remaining updated, the club can expand its online stores by offering more services through the internet. Bonds created by group workouts The clubs offer programs where customers are trained together. In normal circumstances, there will be likelihood for the members of that group to be close and work towards helping each other gaini ng full fitness thus helping in creating of stronger social bonds (Genesis Fitness Centre 2011). Threats Increased living standards: With the costs of living rising, there is a likelihood of people being conservative with how they spend their money and this will reduce the revenues the company is gaining from its members. There is also the threat from other upcoming fitness centres as well as copycat training services centre which might decide to copy the services being offered by General Fitness Centres. This is a major threat to the company but with the national reputation the centres have amassed through out Australia, this effect will not be felt. Societal transformation where people are likely to be more health sensitive leading to fewer visits to the gym facilities is another major factor that will lead to a decline in revenues gained. The Impact of Pornography on Children and Youth Essay Example
The Impact of Pornography on Children and Youth Essay Example The Impact of Pornography on Children and Youth Essay The Impact of Pornography on Children and Youth Essay Persuasive Essay Kurtis Olson Per. 1b 2/6/11 Pornography is a word that is brought up as bad for kids to watch. Kids are most likely exposed to it at a young age. The largest group of viewers of Internet porn is children between ages 12 and 17 ââ¬Å"Family Safe Media, December 15, 2005. â⬠Kids will want to see it and try it. We need to have stricter pornography sites on the internet. Entering a birth date isnââ¬â¢t enough clarification, itââ¬â¢s easy to lie. The identification number you see on an identification card or driverââ¬â¢s license should be used to go along with clarifying your age online for anything that requires a mature audience. Kids may think that they could steal their parentââ¬â¢s license but all pornography sites should have a small fee so their parents would know if they made a charge with their credit card. Teens are mostly lazy so an average teen or child wouldnââ¬â¢t go through all that work. Any parent who looks at their bill will penalize the child in someway. Kids wonââ¬â¢t be exposed to sex at such a young age, or making sacrifices to watch pornography. The United States has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the western industrialized world. More than 2/3 of all teenagers who have a baby will not graduate from high school. Billions of dollars are spent taking care of teenage mothers and their children and they are more likely to be in the poverty bracket. Teenager pregnancies are dropping; it is still a constant problem as there are more and more kids who enter their teenager years each year. Itââ¬â¢s not always the parents fault when kids are looking at porn. Parents may work two jobs, have to cook, help with homework. With this economy parents arenââ¬â¢t always home. Parents could also have a schooling type of their own. With America being so much in debt and destroying the economy itââ¬â¢s almost impossible for two parents or especially a single parent to be watching every move their kid makes at all hours. Charging for pornography will reduce how much kids will watch. At the same time it will boost the economy and possibly make more jobs. Some say exploiting sex for money isnââ¬â¢t right but I guess people have to make do in life. So the next time you think about watching porn for free, leave it alone and wait till youââ¬â¢re older to do it. Unless you actually realize that watching it is pointless and unproductive in any way. When you have kids always watch them and what theyââ¬â¢re doing as much as possible.
